This exhaust was built for a serious autocross car. The goals for this exhaust were, in order, to save weight and pick up some power. Both were accomplished.
The Chase Race exhaust was TIG welded from thin wall 304 stainless tubing and uses Burns Stainless Ultra-Light Mufflers that weigh a mere 3.5 lbs each.
The result was an impressive 25lb weight savings (15 vs. 40) over the stock exhaust, and a gain of a few horsepower in the important part of the power band.
